1974
Station 5 Established
Charlotte County Fire District Station 5 begins operations in Punta Gorda, serving an growing coastal community with dedicated firefighters and responders.
1990s
Expanding EMS Capabilities
Station 5 transitions to advanced life support, adding paramedic-level care and expanding our emergency medical response capabilities across Charlotte County.
2010s
New Station Facility
A state-of-the-art fire station opens at 26287 Notre Dame Boulevard, featuring modern apparatus bays, training facilities, and community meeting spaces.
